Therapy services include neuroaffirming psychological evaluations, individual, family, and group therapy. Sessions are available in person at outdoor, nature based locations or via telehealth with video chat. My techniques are rooted in expressive arts therapy, somatic embodiment, breath work, and polyvagal theory. I connect with people on a relational level and no journey is the same. Watch the video for an explanation of art therapy.
Expressive arts therapy utilizes expressive methods such as movement, sound, storytelling/image making, and silence for gentle methods of expanding our capacity for life. Somatic embodiment includes body oriented movements, breath work, and increasing awareness to internal body rhythms, otherwise known as the sense of interoception. Polyvagal theory provides a basis of understanding for how things impact our nervous system and how we can intentionally move up or down the polyvagal ladder of the nervous system.
My areas of focus for therapy are identity, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and grief. Populations include ages 15 and up, LGBTQ-PIA+ community, and all the misfits that feel out of place in mainstream healthcare services. I practice identity affirming care to include: neuroaffirming, gender affirming, and poly-kink allied professional. Watch the video for an explanation of art therapy.
